Emap Australia The Emap Australia system typifies the neXus whole-of-business approach to technology design, support and management. Global publishing giant Emap International commenced Australian operations with the purchase of Mason Stewart Publishing. The strategy was to grow rapidly through further acquisitions. neXus network was commissioned to design, implement and manage a state-of-the-art system that would enable dynamic growth. Our first challenge was to simultaneously redesign their systems, project manage their relocation, and establish new operations within an extremely short time frame. We planned and project-managing the client's relocation. During a single weekend we implement a totally new company-wide production and administration system without disruption to tight publishing deadlines. Since then we have provided multiple services to Emap. We manage the procurement of new hardware and software, specifying the right equipment for the job and negotiating attractive vendor discounts. We supply field support for day-to-day trouble-shooting and assistance, as well as data and internet management. We also provide specialist tuition in graphics, prepress and Web design. And we are assisting them with the transition to on-line publishing by providing Web strategy and engineering services. neXus
